What we believe

An old faith, lived out fresh

We’re an ordinary church holding to the historic Christian faith — with room for your questions along the way.

The larger family

Being Baptist

Vale Community Church is a Baptist church — part of a wider movement of ordinary people following Jesus together. Being Baptist shapes how we belong, decide and serve.

Believer’s baptism

We baptise those who choose to follow Jesus for themselves — a personal ‘yes’ to God, going under the water and rising to new life. No pressure, no rush; in your own time.

The priesthood of all believers

Every one of us has direct access to God and a part to play. There’s no spiritual elite — ministry belongs to the whole church, not just the leaders.

A free church under Christ

Each Baptist church governs itself under the Lordship of Jesus, seeking his mind together in community — while belonging to something much bigger than ourselves.

Better together

We belong to the Central Baptist Association and the Baptist Union of Great Britain — a family of thousands of churches across the country and the world.

A new thing, in an old tradition

Our story

Vale Community Church is a young church plant in the heart of Marston Moretaine — reaching our village afresh, while rooted in centuries of Baptist faith and the wider family of God’s people.

We’re only just getting started, and there’s a place for you in the story.

Still working things out?

So are most of us. Bring your questions to Doubts & Drinks, come along on a Sunday, or just drop us a line.
