Exploring faith
Plenty of people around here are somewhere between “not sure” and “not interested”, and we’re glad to have them. If you’ve got questions about Jesus, this is where to start — and none of it commits you to anything.
Start wherever you actually are
You don’t have to work your way up to this. Some people read something on their own for a year before they say a word to anyone. Some come to a meal first and get to the questions later. Some walk in on a Sunday knowing nothing and ask everything afterwards. All of those are normal here.
What we won’t do is corner you, keep score, or treat you as a project. Plenty of people come to things we run, enjoy them, decide the faith part isn’t for them, and stay friends with us. That’s a perfectly good outcome.

Who is Jesus?
The straight answer to the question the whole thing hangs on — who we believe he is, and why. There’s a short film, and honest answers to the questions people actually ask, including the awkward ones about suffering and about what the church has got wrong.
Alpha
Eight evenings, a meal, a short film and a conversation where every question is fair game — including the rude ones. You can disagree with everything you hear, and you can sit and say nothing for eight weeks if you’d rather. It’s free, and there’s no follow-up.
Doubts & Drinks
The same conversation in the pub, with no course and no sign-up — just a handful of people and whatever question someone brought with them. Sceptics especially welcome.
Come on a Sunday
You don’t have to believe anything to sit in the room. Nobody will ask you to stand up, explain yourself, or put money in anything. If it helps to know what actually happens before you come, that page says so plainly.
What we believe
The formal version, written down, if you’d rather read it properly before you come anywhere near us. It’s more theological than the rest of this site, on purpose — we’d rather be clear than vague.
Ask us anything
A real person reads every message — usually Dan or Annie — and there’s no such thing as a question that’s too basic or too hostile. Ask the thing you actually want to ask.
Still not sure any of this is for you?
That’s the most common place to be, and it’s a perfectly good place to start. Read one of the Gospels on your own — Luke takes an evening, and nobody will know you did. Or come and eat with people on a Tuesday and never mention any of this at all. The door doesn’t only open one way.
